About the series
A 1970s DC series that expanded the Bat-mythos beyond Gotham's lone vigilante, The Batman Family gave Robin, Batgirl, and new hero The Huntress—Helena Wayne—their own solo adventures within its pages. Running for twenty issues, the title was a proving ground for rising talents like Bob Rozakis, Elliot S! Maggin, and Paul Levitz, with art from veterans Sheldon Moldoff, Joe Staton, and Don Heck. It introduced key supporting players like Arthur Cranston and Councilman Franklin Gresham while also spotlighting the monstrous Man-Bat, weaving a tapestry of street-level heroics and family dynamics that deepened the Batman universe.
