Squeeks

A lighthearted humor comic from Lev Gleason Publications, Squeeks (1953–1954) ran for five issues and starred a mischievous, trouble-prone young boy whose antics drove the gags. The series was most frequently illustrated by cartoonist Irv Spector, whose energetic, expressive style suited the slapstick tone. Though brief, it represents a charming example of the kind of all-ages, gag-driven humor comics that thrived in the early 1950s.
