Squeeks #3

From Lev Gleason's self-proclaimed "World's Funniest Comic," this February 1954 issue of Squeeks delivers a wonderfully chaotic cover by Charles Biro. On the left, the mischievous monkey Squeeks stands atop a scaffold, gleefully hurling a brick into a towering wall of loosely stacked masonry, while on the right a rival monkey — helmeted with a number 13 and labeled "Daredevil" — revs a motorcycle in front of a "Death Defying Stunts" backdrop, declaring "I'll show that Squeeks!" A ten-cent ticket to slapstick rivalry, this issue pairs that cover showdown with the interior story "Midnight Madness" for a full helping of cartoon mischief.
