Spotlight Comics
Chesler / Dynamic · 1944–1945 · 3 issues
About the series
Running only three issues from 1944 to 1945, Spotlight Comics was a short-lived anthology title from the Chesler/Dynamic shop, a prolific but often-overlooked engine of wartime comics. The series is primarily remembered for the work of writer-artist Bill Madden, who handled most of the stories, alongside contributions from artists Charles Sultan and Rafael Astarita. Though it didn't launch any lasting characters, Spotlight offers a compact snapshot of the fast-paced, no-frills adventure and humor comics that filled newsstands during the final years of World War II.
