About the series
DC’s Seven Soldiers of Victory Archives (2005–2008) collects the Golden Age adventures of the first superhero team to bear that name, originally published in the 1940s. Anchored by the writing of Joe Samachson and Mort Weisinger, and the art of Mort Meskin, Arturo Cazeneuve, and Ed Dobrotka, the series showcases early exploits of Green Arrow, Speedy, the Crimson Avenger, and other costumed heroes. These three archival volumes preserve a foundational, if lesser-known, chapter of DC’s wartime heroics, offering a glimpse into the team-up dynamics that preceded the Justice Society.
