Harvey Comics’ Pocket Comics (1941–1942) was a compact, four-issue anthology series that packed adventure, humor, and superhero thrills into a digest-sized format. Spearheaded by writer Alfred Harvey and brought to life by artists Al Gabriele and Pierce Rice, the series showcased a rotating cast of original characters—from the costumed crimefighter Shock Gibson to the whimsical antics of characters like the Green Turtle. Though short-lived, it stands as an early example of Harvey’s foray into the booming Golden Age comic market, offering a snapshot of wartime-era storytelling in a uniquely portable package.
