Nova's second outing wastes no time throwing the young hero into serious trouble — the cover, penciled by John Buscema and inked by Frank Giacoia, shows Nova caught in the grip of the power-draining villain Powerhouse while the winged, red-suited Condor swoops in from above against a fiery urban backdrop. The bold cover copy promises "First Night of the Condor!" and frames this 1976 issue as exactly the kind of relentless, two-fisted superhero action Marvel was delivering at its energetic best.
