About the series
In this 1985–1986 four-issue Marvel series, writer and artist Dave Cockrum—co-creator of Nightcrawler—returns to spotlight his signature character, Kurt Wagner. With inks by Josef Rubinstein, the story teams Nightcrawler with Kitty Pryde (as Shadowcat) and her dragon Lockheed, while introducing the mysterious new villain Shagreen. A concise, character-driven adventure from one of the X-Men's original architects, it's a fond look at the swashbuckling mutant's solo potential during the team's mid-80s heyday.
