Lobo: Death and Taxes

About the series
In this 1996–1997 DC miniseries, the Main Man trades cosmic carnage for a shot at the American dream, settling down in a small town to run for mayor. Written by Alan Grant and Keith Giffen with painted art by Alex Horley, this four-issue run pits Lobo’s unapologetic brutality against the absurdities of politics and suburban life. It’s a darkly comedic, visually striking take on the character that leans into his over-the-top persona while lampooning the very idea of a lawless bounty hunter trying to fit in.
