About the series
In the late 1990s, Chaos! Comics unleashed Lady Death, a dark fantasy series that followed the supernatural anti-heroine through a hellish realm of magic and warfare. Penned primarily by David Quinn, Brian Pulido, and Phil Nutman, the book was defined by the lush, detailed artwork of Mike Deodato Jr. and the gothic horror stylings of Steven Hughes. A flagship title of the "bad girl" comics boom, it cemented Lady Death as a pop-culture icon of the era, blending sword-and-sorcery spectacle with a grim, morally complex mythology.
