About the series
In 2017, DC Comics brought together two of pop culture's most enduring vigilantes for a six-issue miniseries. Written primarily by Scott Snyder and Steve Orlando with art by Riley Rossmo, Batman / The Shadow pits the Dark Knight against the mysterious, almost supernatural crime-fighter from the pulps, forcing them to confront not only a common enemy but also their vastly different philosophies on justice. This crossover is a standout for its atmospheric, noir-inspired tone and its exploration of how Batman's methods compare to the Shadow's more ruthless, psychic approach.
