In "Hideout in Hell," the desperate Bexer gang flees after a bank robbery, only to turn on each other in the woods. With two members dead and the police closing in, Bexer's terror of corpses pushes him into a hidden compound—where his worst fears take hold.
In "The Strangling Hands," collector Noram acquires the cursed severed arms of the notorious French strangler Jean D’Arst, only to be murdered by his own greedy nephew Don. When the police dismiss the idea of a curse, Don flees—but the arms, still deadly, find him in the end.
In "The Man Who Cheated Death," John Blane, a man obsessed with defying time, drinks a serum promising eternal life—after killing the scientist who created it.
