Jo and her friend Rollo are desperate to afford the prom, but Ezra’s father refuses to help—until Ezra secretly paints the family garage in a bold, mismatched yellow-and-blue scheme. When neighbors start praising the garish makeover as a masterpiece, Ezra’s dad is forced to admit the paint job is surprisingly impressive, and finally hands over the money—just in time for the big night.
