Young King Cole #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeYoung King Cole features two detective stories. In the first tale, after two days at sea, a man falls overboard and is rescued, but Captain Clagg dismisses the incident as the females imagining things until the man is discovered to be an escaped criminal named Swindledip who must be stopped before he kills his friends. In the second story, criminals Homer and Buzz are caught after Doctor Doom attempts a theft at a gourmet restaurant, leading to their arrest when they are brought to the police station where their scheme to escape is thwarted.
Inspector Klooz arrives at Restless Hills Cemetery to investigate a string of missing tombstones, only to find himself trapped in the eerie graveyard with the caretaker Elmo Creech, who seems to know more about the thefts than he's letting on. As midnight approaches and ghostly happenings intensify, the bumbling detective must piece together who's behind the grave robberies before he becomes the next casualty. It's a comedic caper where Klooz's mishaps and quick thinking lead him closer to the truth about the tombstone thieves.
