X-Men: Legacy #208
In "From Genesis to Revelations," the X-Men face a devastating turn when Bishop shoots Xavier point-blank—only to discover the Acolytes have already intervened, freezing time and whisking their mentor away. With Xavier’s mind fractured and his body barely holding on, Exodus attempts to mend the damage, but the real battle unfolds within Xavier’s consciousness, where memories of his earliest days with the original X-Men begin to surface. Written by Mike Carey and brought to life by John Romita Jr., Scot Eaton, Klaus Janson, and John Dell, with colors by Christina Strain and Frank D'Armata, the issue’s haunting cover by David Finch captures the moment’s gravity.

Bishop has shot Xavier in the head and unbeknownst to the X-Men, the Acolytes have arrived on the scene, stopped time and spirited their mentor away. Exodus tries to repair the damage to Xavier's brain but he still appears to have very little brain activity. But inside of Xavier's head, he is reliving some of his earliest moments with the original X-Men. Seeking help in stabilizing Xavier's deteriorating condition, Exodus calls on Professor X's longest friend and greatest enemy.
