Mister Sinistre a fait exploser le manoir avec tous les X-Men à l'intérieur et seul Longshot s'oppose à sa lui. Le Fauve se présente et aide Longshot à occuper Sinistre pendant que les X-Men se dégagent des décombres. Au cours du conflit qui suit, Sinistre révèle que Cyclope, enfant, a été amené à son orphelinat et qu'il l'a manipulé. Réalisant que Sinistre se méfie des rayons optiques de Cyclope, les X-Men le distraient tandis que Havok utilise ses pouvoirs pour surcharger son frère. Cyclope fait exploser Sinistre. Les X-Men et X-Factor se séparent pour mener à bien leurs missions distinctes.
