Aug 2009 · Marvel · 3.99 USD
“Love--and Loss! [Part 1]”

In "Love--and Loss! [Part 1]," the X-Men regroup after the fall of Asteroid M, confronting the lingering threat of Fabian Cortez. As Jean's powers react unpredictably—echoing something far older and more dangerous—Nick Fury offers the team a chance to prove themselves to a wary world, but not everyone agrees. When Wolverine storms off in frustration, Jean reaches out to him through the psychic link, only for something to go horribly wrong. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by Tom Grummett, with inks by Cory Hamscher and colors by Wil Quintana, this pivotal issue sets a haunting tone for the series. The cover by Tom Grummett and Cory Hamscher captures the moment’s tension in striking detail.
