X-Men / Fantastic Four #4

May 2005 · Marvel · 3.50 USD; 5.00 CAD

In this pivotal 2005 crossover, the Brood descend on Earth in a fleet of Acanti starships, with one threatening to crash into New York City—forcing Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Storm to intervene. As Beast races to reverse the cosmic changes affecting the X-Men, Cyclops and the Thing work to subdue the still-unstable Wolverine, while the full force of the Brood arrives on Earth, drawn by their scouts' signal. Written by Akira Yoshida and illustrated by Pat Lee and Edwin Garcia, with Rob Ruffolo’s colors and Dave Sharpe’s letters, the cover by Pat Lee captures the chaos of the invasion.

The Brood are heading to Earth in a space shuttle that threatens to crash in the heart of New York City and it is up to Sue, Johnny and Storm to bring the ship down safely. Beast thinks he can divest the cosmically altered X-Men back to their original state but time is of the essence and Wolverine is still on the loose. Cyclops and the Thing take down Wolverine and bring him in. Responding to a call from their scouts, a horde of Brood arrive on Earth in their Acanti starships.
