Storm has been possesed by Zaladane and, as Karl Lykos tries to stop her, he transforms once again into Sauron. Garokk begins to take over the Savage Land and the X-Men find themselves up against the power of a god. Storm battles Garokk but only succeeds in feeding his power and it is only through the selfish intervention of Sauron that Garokk's strength is sapped and his threat is ended.
