Superman bekämpft Hurrikan. Pete Ross Sohn John ist krank und wird sterben, da er seinen Lebenswillen verloren hat. Nur die Geheimidentität des Stählernen könnte ihn retten. Also verrät Superman dem Jungen, dass er Clark Kent ist. Doch John ist enttäuscht und glaubt ihm nicht.
