“The Sons of Batman and Superman! Part I”

In "The Sons of Batman and Superman! Part I," the next generation of DC's greatest heroes finds themselves at odds when Kal-El Jr. bullies Bruce Jr., prompting Kathy to ban their friendship. Determined to teach their sons the values behind their legacies, Superman and Batman take on the task of mentoring them—only for Bruce Jr. and Kal-El Jr. to stage a dramatic pretend disappearance to reunite the families. Written by Edmond Hamilton and brought to life with Curt Swan's iconic art and Sheldon Moldoff's inks, this 1965 classic features a heartfelt, playful take on legacy and responsibility, with George Klein's cover capturing the moment perfectly.
