Who is Cap?

A Silver Age charmer with genuine star power in their corner, Cap made their debut in the pages of Superman #179 in 1965, brought to life by the legendary team of Otto Binder and Al Plastino. This DC character moves in rarefied company — sharing adventures with Superman, Batman, Jimmy Olsen, and Bruce Wayne — and pops up across a nicely varied run of titles including Superboy, Superman, and G.I. Combat. The footprint may be compact at nine catalogued appearances, but any character born in the Silver Age and rubbing shoulders with DC's absolute finest is well worth a second look for collectors who love the texture and charm of that era.
