“Odyssey, Part Ten: Diana's Army”

In "Odyssey, Part Ten: Diana's Army," Wonder Woman faces a dire threat as the Morrigan commands Artemis, Giganta, and Cheetah to bring her down—dead or alive. Waking from a miraculous recovery in a hospital, Diana seeks guidance from Myra Clotho, one of the Fates, who reaffirms her belief in herself as Earth’s only hope against an avatar of vengeance that will destroy humanity unless Diana falls. With the help of her former adversaries, now allies, and a defiant resolve, Diana prepares to confront divine forces head-on—no prophecies needed. Written by J. Michael Straczynski and Phil Hester, with art by Eduardo Pansica and inks by Wayne Faucher and Eber Ferreira, and a striking cover by Kramer, this 2011 issue delivers a powerful chapter in Diana’s journey.

The Morrigan orders Artemis, Giganta and Cheetah to bring her Diana, dead or alive. Waking up in a hospital, miraculously healed, Diana visits the ancient Myra Clotho, one of the Fates, who inspires her to believe in herself. She tells her that she is the only person who can save Earth from the avatar of vengeance, who needs only to destroy Diana to be able to wipe out humanity. Diana shows Artemis, Giganta and Cheetah how the Morrigan corrupted them, and they join Diana. She meets with the Oracle and tells her she’s on the way to kill a few gods and doesn’t need her portents.
