Wonder Woman #2
In "Year One Part One," Wonder Woman #2 (2017) kicks off a pivotal chapter as Hippolyta calls a council of the Amazons to decide how to respond to the arrival of Steve Trevor on Themyscira. With tensions rising and beliefs divided, Castalia’s conviction that the gods have sent Steve as a sign leads to the decision to hold a tournament to choose an Amazon champion—Diana, who emerges victorious and prepares to journey to the outside world. Written by Greg Rucka and brought to life with dynamic art by Nicola Scott—whose pencils and inks define both the interior and the striking cover—this issue sets the stage for a bold new beginning, grounded in myth and purpose.
