The issue also includes a domestic comedy segment involving newspaper office workers and a character named Susie arranging to meet Bart for an interview, with plans complicated by scheduling conflicts and the involvement of his sister.
Brad Spencer has destroyed the tyrannical Lilith's moon satellite stronghold, but her monstrous Slave Spirits escaped—and a fragment carrying them has crashed in Utah, bringing the cosmic threat directly to Earth. Now, as the Immortal Emperor and Dr. Voodoo race back to reclaim their servants and conquer the world, Wonderman must race against time to devise a way to banish the monsters back into the void before the villains can unite their forces and launch a final assault.
Bill Norris, alias the Grim Reaper, investigates a string of crimes tied to a practical joker turned bandit—a man whose obsession with making people cry has evolved from harmless pranks into armed robbery. When the so-called Crying Bandit and his gang escalate their spree, the Grim Reaper sets a trap at the circus, only to find himself outmaneuvered and caged with angry lions. Tracking a clue left behind, the Grim Reaper closes in on the culprits before their scheme can unfold further.
A young athlete steps in for an injured teammate on the water polo team, unaware that his small companion has stumbled onto a dangerous counterfeiting operation hidden behind a department store front. When the criminals realize what she's discovered, Bart must find a way to save her and expose the scheme—all before the big game that could change everything.
