In the future, a cold and merciless murderer is removed from prison by Roxxon and turned into a Deathlok cyborg. He enjoys his new job of killing people for the company but feels hampered by the onboard computer in his head that will not allow him to take out additional targets not on Roxxon's agenda. In the present, Wolverine and his allies try to protect the time traveling Miranda from the Deathlok's who are after her. Miranda gets a message from the future and ends up holding off one of the cyborgs by threatening to kill the child who will one day grow up to be the killer.
