“Dreams of Gore: Phase 1”

In "Dreams of Gore: Phase 1," Wolverine and Jubilee infiltrate the derelict Weapon X facility in Alberta, triggering a cascade of haunting flashbacks that unravel fragments of Logan’s past. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated with visceral intensity by Marc Silvestri—inked by Dan Green and colored by Steve Buccellato—this issue delves into Logan’s darkest memories, from his initial capture to a violent confrontation with the Professor and a chilling Team X mission. As they flee the complex, passing a massive machine labeled “Shiva 2,” the mystery deepens, leaving them with more questions than answers. The cover, penciled by Silvestri and inked by Green, captures the tension with stark, striking detail.

Wolverine and Jubilee break into the long-abandoned Weapon X Project complex in Alberta. Logan has three separate serious flashbacks, first about being drugged and dragged into the complex, another about going berserk and ready to kill the project’s head scientist, the Professor, and the third a mission for Team X along with Sabretooth and Mastodon, where he is about to kill Silver Fox whereupon he wakes up from the flashback. He and Jubilee leave to find Professor X to ask him some questions. As they leave they pass by a huge die machine labeled “Shiva 2”.
