Witches Tales #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains two supernatural horror stories. The first tale involves a ship crew discovering an ancient cursed squint on deck during a voyage; the squint's spirit cannot rest until destroyed, and when crew members attempt to salvage gold from a nearby wreck, they encounter a mysterious glowing eye at the sea bottom that kills those who disturb it. The second story concerns a town plagued by mysterious earthquakes and red water in a creek; when investigators visit the affected area, they discover the water contains supernatural properties that attack a man exploring its source, suggesting the disasters are connected to something sinister in the earth.
In the quiet, shadowed village of Charlons, France, Jo seeks out distant kin—only to be trapped in a crumbling manor ruled by the feral Chatnoirs, a clan of cat-like creatures said to have been burned as witches centuries ago. As the black cats circle and the walls close in, Jo must decide whether to unleash fire to survive—or risk becoming another legend in their cursed history.
