“What If the Invaders Had Stayed Together After World War Two?”

In What If? #4, Roy Thomas and Frank Robbins craft a bold alternate history where the Invaders remain a team past World War Two, facing a new era of threats with a reshaped roster. With Captain America and Bucky presumed dead, the U.S. government introduces a new Captain America—Spirit of '76—and a new Bucky, Fred Davis, while the team evolves into the All-Winners Squad. Cover by Gil Kane and Frank Giacoia captures the era’s high stakes, as the heroes confront androids, political assassinations, and the lingering shadows of the war they helped end.
