On their way to the planet Venus, Captain Larkin and the crew of the Venus-2, discover the Venus-1 floating in space and disembark to investigate. They find the crew stripped of their clothing and flesh, as well as anything made of organic material stripped bare. But then they come upon a dead, but preserved body of a crew member, who had written a warning to anyone finding them.
