Captain Scott is leading his fourth "colony evaluation" into space as the problem of the exploding population of the Earth (due to genetically engineered increased life spans) is getting quite bad. They are brought down to the surface of a planet by some unknown force, and after some exploring, they return to find no ship and vanished guards. A search results in more crew members disappearing until the last two men are captured by alien beings and find they are soon to be vivisected like guinea pigs!
