Warriors of Mars #4

Aug 2012 · Dynamite Entertainment · 3.99 USD

In Warriors of Mars #4, Jones and Carter race to rescue Dejah from the Thither people, only to find her reunited with her mother through a magical wish granted by the carpet—though the moment is fleeting. With Heru’s time limited, Jones makes a bold choice: he uses the carpet to leap 1,000 years into the future, seeking answers beyond the present. Written by Robert Place Napton and illustrated by Jack Jadson, with colors by Alex Starling and letters by Marshall Dillon, the issue’s cover by Joe Jusko captures the moment’s emotional weight.

Jones leads Carter to rescue Dejah, who has been kidnapped by the Thither people. The magic carpet grants Dejah's wish to spend a little time with her mother, then her mother's wish to see Jones one more time. But the carpet only allows a brief reunion before Heru must return from where she came. Without Heru, Jones decides to use the carpet to travel 1000 years into the future.
