Searching for his abducted sister, Jon enlists the aid of a mute minstrel and a dwarf named Evor. They soon chance upon a maiden being sacrificed to a fire-breathing dragon, but Jon manages to slay the beast. But, one of the dragon's druid worshipers attacks Jon from behind and hacks off his arm. Evor kills the druid and the freed maiden suggests they take Jon to a nearby wise-woman, who may be able to restore his arm.
