Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge #8
In "Cash on the Brain," Scrooge McDuck sets sail on a peculiar journey—part health retreat, part rescue mission—after a mysterious message in a bottle leads him to a remote island. With his usual mix of stubborn determination and curiosity, he and the ducks soon uncover a strange, stone-casting ray and the Beagle Boys, who’ve stashed their latest scheme on the island. Written and illustrated by Carl Barks, this 1954 classic blends whimsy and suspense, with Barks' dynamic art and the Western Publishing Production Shop's vibrant coloring bringing the adventure to life. The cover, also by Barks, captures the moment of discovery with his signature flair.
