Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #658
In "A Bird in the Hand," Donald Duck finds himself behind the wheel of a collector car on a wild detour when he picks up two escaped convicts—claiming one needs urgent medical help. With a lunchtime read on knightly chivalry fueling his determination, Donald speeds through Goosetown in a high-stakes chase full of near-misses, only to see the crooks surrender to the police, convinced they’d rather face jail than endure another minute with Donald at the wheel. Written by Marco Rota and David Gerstein, with art by Marco Rota and coloring by Egmont and Scott Rockwell, this 2005 gem from Gemstone features a cover by Carl Barks.
