Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #657
In "Nature Boy," Mickey and Goofy follow a mysterious map that leads them to an island teeming with English mythology-inspired inhabitants, only to find themselves caught in a conflict with a band of Greek myth figures. With diplomacy and a dash of curiosity, Mickey tries to broker peace—only to vanish mid-flight, reappearing back in the real world with no explanation. Written by Per Hedman, Carol McGreal, and Pat McGreal, and illustrated by César Ferioli with colors by Egmont and Marie Javins, this 2005 adventure blends whimsy and myth in a story that’s as unexpected as it is charming. The cover, by William Van Horn, captures the island’s enigmatic spirit.
