Vixen: Return of the Lion #[nn]

When a raid on an Intergang warehouse uncovers clues about the death of Vixen’s mother, she returns to Zambesi, reuniting with an old friend and facing the ruthless warlord Aku Kweisi. With the Justice League watching from afar, Vixen must navigate a web of loyalty, betrayal, and ancient power in a land where the past is never truly buried.

After being wounded by Kwesi and advised to flee by Sia, Mari finds herself alone in the wild, her injuries worsening as she sleeps in a tree. When jackals attack, she barely survives—only to face a new threat: a lion stalking her through the night. With her strength fading and no way out, the Justice League is called to respond as Mari’s fate hangs in the balance.

In "Sanctuary," Mari meets Brother Tabo and his gentle lion, Zaki, in a hidden shrine where animals live in peace. As she recovers, she discovers her powers no longer depend on her totem—until the Justice League arrives in Zambesi, only to be ambushed by Intergang’s deadly traps.

In "Risen," Vixen faces a wild, rabid lion alone—no pendant, no powers, just instinct and courage. When Superman and Black Canary fall under a zombie-like control, their minds twisted by Intergang’s poison, the Justice League must confront a threat that turns allies into weapons.

In "Idols," Vixen confronts Aku Kwesi in a climactic showdown as Intergang's grip on Superman and Black Canary begins to crumble. With Kwesi's forces turning against him and the balance of power shifting, Vixen must face the leader of Owo in a battle that tests more than just strength.
