“First Blood”

"First Blood" kicks off a gripping new chapter in the Vigilante legacy, introducing a fresh take on the vigilante persona in 2005’s *Vigilante #1*. Written by Bruce Jones and illustrated by Ben Oliver, with colors by Carrie Strachan and letters by Clem Robins, the story follows police psychiatrist Rene Carpenter as she investigates a string of killings tied to a mysterious new Vigilante. Her inquiry leads her to Dr. Justin Powell, one of the victims’ former therapists—and a man whose connection to the case runs deeper than she initially realizes. The cover by Michael Golden captures the tension with a stark, intense portrait of the new Vigilante.
