Veronica Lodge has clearly decided not to leave prom queen status to chance — the cover by Dan DeCarlo and Henry Scarpelli shows her descending a grand staircase in a red gown, ermine-trimmed royal cape, crown, and scepter, while a bow-tied Archie looks on with a gift box in hand and a speechless expression that the speech bubble sums up perfectly: "Wow! Someone is very confident of being the Prom Queen!" With the story "A Prom to Remember" inside, this July 2000 issue captures that signature Archie Comics blend of glamour and good-natured humor that makes Veronica's solo title such a treat.
