Venomverse Reborn #2

History

Venomverse Reborn was announced in March 2024 as a four-issue anthology series kicking off in June of that year, conceived as a spiritual successor to Edge of Venomverse (2017) and Extreme Venomverse (2023), each issue framed by Al Ewing — the architect of the ongoing Venom series — with art by Danilo S. Beyruth, whose framing sequences tie directly into the broader Venom War storyline Ewing was building at the same time. Issue #2 brought in Phillip Kennedy Johnson and artist John McCrea for the Viking Venom segment, Adam Warren and Chris Cross for the return of the Venom: The End continuity, and Chris Giarrusso writing and drawing the Mini Marvels story; the cover was provided by Tony Daniel, with variant covers by Rogê Antônio, Derrick Chew (Symbiote variant), and Leinil Francis Yu (Connecting variant). The series was collected in a trade paperback edition (ISBN 9781302960414) gathering all four issues.

• First appearance of the Mini Marvels incarnation of Venom in this anthology context, in a story written and drawn by Chris Giarrusso.
• The Al Ewing / Danilo S. Beyruth framing story is titled 'Five Questions: Part Two' and features the Eventuality — Eddie Brock's ultimate apotheosized future self, ruler of the Un-Beyond — showing a mysterious visitor visions of alternate Venoms, including symbiote-bonded versions of Thanos, Kang the Conqueror, and Carnage (all presented as alternate-universe variants).
