Vampirella: Armageddon was announced in spring 2025 as a direct sequel to Sniegoski's Vampirella Strikes! series, with the writer describing the character as the one he finds most natural to inhabit — 'like slipping into a nice warm sweater,' in his own words at the time of announcement. Dynamite paired him with Brazilian artist Kewber Baal for the opening arc of the series (issues #1–approximately #5), before transitioning interior art duties to Edu Menna for the back half of the twelve-issue run; issue #3, released September 17, 2025, falls in the Baal portion of that collaboration. The series launched in July 2025 with a notably dense variant-cover program anchored by Francesco Mattina on the A cover, and also featuring covers by Lesley 'Leirix' Li, Joseph Michael Linsner, and cosplay photography by Rachel Hollon.
