Vampirella Armageddon #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeVampirella: Armageddon #2 (August 2025, Dynamite Entertainment) marks the narrative turning point in which the Daughter of Drakulon is thrust — against her will — into the Infernal Realm, escalating the Armageddon arc beyond the post-apocalyptic streets of Sepulcher City and into Hell itself. This descent is the structural hinge of the series' larger mythology: it seeds the emergence of a 'Dark Vampirella' persona and the eventual return of the long-dormant villain Hemorrhage, both of which play out across subsequent issues. As the second chapter of a deliberately continuity-rich run built on more than three decades of Tom Sniegoski's accumulated Vampi mythology, the issue functions as both a gateway for newcomers and a payoff-laden chapter for longtime readers being promised the reintroduction of 1990s-era characters. It is the first issue in the series to move the setting entirely off-Earth, a structural shift that defines the rest of the Armageddon storyline.

Vampirella: Armageddon is a direct sequel to Sniegoski's Vampirella Strikes! series, continuing the post-apocalyptic Sepulcher City setting he had developed over multiple prior Dynamite runs. Dynamite announced the series in April 2025, with Sniegoski describing the return to the character as deeply comfortable given his history with her spanning over thirty years. Artist Kewber Baal, Sniegoski's collaborator from earlier installments, continued on interiors, while a broad slate of cover artists — Francesco Mattina, Lesley 'Leirix' Li, Joseph Michael Linsner, and cosplay photographer Lauren DeLorean — contributed to the issue's extensive variant program.
