Francesco Mattina's cover for this 2025 Dynamite series opener pulls no punches — a close-up of a demonically transformed Vampirella dominates the image, her glowing red eyes, bared fangs, and blood-streaked face radiating something genuinely unsettling beneath the bold Armageddon title. The deep crimson and shadow palette Mattina brings to both line art and color work gives the whole thing a painted, nightmarish intensity that sets an appropriately apocalyptic tone. If this first issue is any indication of the direction Sniegoski and Baal are taking the character, fans of darker, more ferocious takes on Vampirella will want this one on their shelf.
