Vampirella #83
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeWarren Magazine's Vampirella #83 (December 1979) presents a striking cover image: the raven-haired Vampirella in her signature red costume, coiled in the grip of a massive, glistening black tentacled creature, her expression hovering somewhere between alarm and intrigue. The cover copy cheekily asks whether she'll even want to escape the mad god's seductive trap — a tantalizing setup for the interior story, "The God of Blood," brought to life by writer Flaxman Loew and artist José González. It's a wonderfully atmospheric piece of late-'70s Warren horror-fantasy, with cover art by Kim McQuaite and José González that captures Vampirella at her most dangerously alluring.
