Valentine #6 April 1963
In "That's What Love Will Do," Jordi Franch Cubells' expressive art brings to life a charmingly awkward tangle of misunderstandings at a 1963 London café. When a man named Barry repeatedly asks Denise to hide him from approaching women, the tables turn in a twist that leaves her caught in the same game. Carlos Prunés' cover captures the moment’s playful tension, perfectly framing the story’s wry, romantic irony.

Denise was sitting at a cafe table alone when a man hiding under the tablecloth asks her to cover for him when a girl approaches. Denise does cover for him and he promises to tell her the story, but when they exit the cafe he asks her to cover for him again when another girl approaches. Finally, both girls catch up with them and they warn Denise that Barry is a flirt. They go back in the cafe and Denise doesn't want to have anything to do with Barry, but when Andy enters, it is Denise who dives under the tablecloth and asks Barry to cover for her.
