Wendy is the map-reader/guide for the group, but would prefer that Johnny's interest was more personal. On a trip to an old wishing well, Lynn plays the helpless female and asks Johnny to go back to the car with her. Wendy goes alone to the wishing well and make a wish that things would change. It starts raining and she is soaked by the time she gets back to the car. When a tire is punctured, she volunteers to hold the torch while Johnny changes the tire. Wendy returns to the well the next day to retrieve her camera and finds Johnny there. He has seen through Lynn and wants her instead.
