Lord Hirone's concilmen conspire to kill former samurai Yagi. They have branded him a traitor, and Yagi now travels the land as a ronin with his small son Gorogoro – they are now known as Lone Goat and Kid. The councilmen want Miyamoto Usagi to kill Yagi and orchestrate a deadly conflict. The battle between Yagi and Miyamoto Usagi stops when they both realize that they have been used as pawns.
