Nobu is killed by Daida's samurai but leaves a confession of his wrongdoings and those of Daida's with his daughter Yuki. Usagi defends Yuki from Daida's men and brings the matter to Inspector Ishida. Ishida arrests Daida but Daida is killed in his cell - evidently to protect his unknown superior.
