Drug manufacturer Elgin promises his daughter Margo a yacht if she convinces Sam to sell them his drug that cures “Virus Y.” Sam intends to give it away for free, since most of the victims are poor people. Margo dates Sam and he falls in love with her, but thinks she’s just trying to get the drug. When her father falls ill, Margo asks Sam to give him the drug; since Mr. Elgin isn’t in danger, Sam saves the life of a poor young boy instead. Margo realizes Sam is truly idealistic and agrees to help finance a factory to make the drug and give it to the poor. Sam and Margo will be married.
