When a truck driver named Hank rescues her during a dangerous mountain pass, she finds solace in his strength and presence, and the two fall in love during their time together in Africa. However, when Bruce (revealed to be Randy's superior officer) arrives with news that Randy is returning, Mary must choose between her new love with Hank and her old life, ultimately deciding to leave Hank and rejoin her former fiancé despite her deepening feelings for the truck driver.
